Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times

Brave New Pictures was able to get behind the thought process of the designers who created the magnificent costumes that appear on the BBC/PBS television show, Downton Abbey. By interviewing the three costume designers as well as the historical advisor used for the series, BNP was able to create an accompanying audio tour that gives visitors additional insights into why the costumes are given a particular hem length, fabric, silhouette, or even color. The audio tour for Dressing Downton gives guests extensive information as they view the collection of splendid wardrobe and props.  Interviewed by BNP in studios in London and at Highclere Castle, where the final season was being filmed, these artists and advisor share a very clear knowledge of history and a deep understanding of Downton Abbey’s iconic characters.
